The Story of Liza Green Artisan Chocolates

Liza Green Artisan Chocolates are unique, combining classic flavours with a modern twist, based in West Hampstead, London.

 

They are the ultimate feel good chocolates and give you an explosion of flavour and a visual feast all in one!

Liza has been fascinated by chocolate from a young age, smitten by visits to chocolatiers in Brussels where she grew up.

 

Despite being told at the time that she was too academic for a career in chocolates, she pursued her dream and swapped a flourishing career at the BBC to do what she loves most. Liza's dedication is clear in the distinctive appearance (no two chocolates are the same) and mix of contemporary and traditional flavours. 

We were thrilled to learn that Channel 4, GB News and Radio X loved Liza's chocolates and promoted them on air.

Liza is a graduate of the Barry Callebaut Chocolate Academy in the UK and Ecole Chocolat in Canada.

At Liza Green Chocolates we pride ourselves on sourcing the finest chocolate with a commitment to fair trade and sustainability.  

For milk, dark and white confections we are pleased to feature ICAM, a family run Italian enterprise whose business vision is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations.  The company ensures the control of the entire production chain from cocoa to chocolate. 

For our gold chocolates we use premium fine Belgian chocolate from Callebaut. 
 
Callebaut was founded in 1911 by Octaaf Callebaut, the grandson of a brewer, who spent months secretly working on his first chocolate recipe.  Some of his iconic blends are still used today.
 
Through the Cocoa Horizons programme, Callebaut partner directly with cocoa farmer cooperatives to supply only 100% sustainable and traceable cocoa beans. 
 

 

Tasting notes
 

Our products are made with four different types of chocolate, ensuring a diverse flavour experience.

Milk: A deep, warm colour, smooth cocoa body and sweet, caramel notes to top it all off. Preferred by chefs worldwide. 
 
Dark: 
An initial burst of cocoa is followed by notes of banana, red fruit, bitters, caramel and vanilla.  Whole bean roasting guarantees a full-bodied taste. 
 
Gold: 
This unique blend has become a classic. A sumptuous, balanced white chocolate flavoured with lightly salted caramel. Rich notes of butter, cream and toffee. 
 
White:
A delicate balance of sugar, cocoa butter, milk and natural vanilla culminates in an intense, clean taste and a balanced sweetness.
